The domestic violence shelter is a 16-bed, 30-day shelter serving women
and children who are fleeing violent relationships in Dauphin County.
The shelter is a safe place for these women and their children.There
are 4 bedrooms with 4 beds in each room.There are 2 living rooms,
dining areas and kitchens, which are communal living spaces, and are
shared with several residents at any given time. Due to the high
turnover of victims, and a lack of funding, the furniture is sparse and
worn. There are no comfortable extras that make the shelter area feel
