Alumnus, Brian Riordan '95, and his mother, Vicki, will lead an engaging discussion of their powerful and emotional book, Encore Performance: How One Woman’s Passion Helped a Town Tap Into Happiness. Recently featured on CBS Sunday Morning, this story reminds us all that it's never too late to live the life you want. Vicki is the creator and artistic director of Vicki's Tap Pups, a once small local tap class in Harrisburg, PA that she created to support her two boys while receiving no child support. After her son, Brian, started to work with her in 2006, they have turned the program into America's largest adult-only tap group with over 500 women and men with an average age of 57. Vicki will demonstrate key tap steps and provide tap instruction for the audience. A signing of their book will follow.
