How long have you been tapping?
Since
the age of 9
What was your first dance
school?
I attended my first dance school at the age of 9, Deanna’s
School of Dance in Steelton, PA, but I credit my real dance
training coming from Vicki’s Studio of Rhythm in Steelton,
PA. I took from Vicki Grubic at the age of 11 and became
her student teacher at the age of 13.

What is your favorite thing
about teaching Tap Pups?
Watching a first-time tapper learn how to tap. The look on
their face and their excitement is priceless!
What is your best advice for a
brand new Tap Pup?
Not to
get frustrated. The steps will come to you. You are there
to learn, have a good time and make new friends. We are all
in this together.
What does Happiness Through
Tap mean to you?
When I
was younger I always loved my dance classes. After all of
those years, I never thought I would get back to tapping.
But after starting tap class again, it is like I never
left. I look around in all of my classes and everyone seems
to have this glow about them. I now know that this is
“Happiness Through Tap.” |
